already have domain, want to post it to WP without .wordpress.com

  I hope you’re able to help me:
  I already have a domain ( astimegoesbydecor.com) via godaddy as the ‘host’
  I attempted to start a WP blog using that name/address, it appears WP automatically attached …..wordpress.com after my address.
  Perhaps I’m misunderstanding, am I to purchase the $99 option in order to use my domain as the primary? Im so confused.

  To map your GoDaddy domain you’ll need a plan upgrade. You can use WordPress.com Personal for $35.88 / year. The plan features are listed at wordpress.com/pricing/ and you can also add it to your account from that link.

  Thank you for the quick reply.
  I have another domain that has a WP blog account that didn’t cost anything (at least, I don’t remember having to pay). I’d like to use THAT feature, however, it appears, in order to use my custom domain (not purchased via WP) the only option remaining is the pay for upgrade. Is that correct?
  Perhaps you or someone with WP can check on that for me. I don’t see a contact phone number anywhere, or I’d make a call.
