Also No Theme Background

    I see a few other recent threads with a similar problem… the theme background and button bars and columns are all not loading on my blog at http://prp.keypoint.org . I have made NO recent changes to the theme or construction of the blog — have not even updated posts in a few days.

    Is this a Word Press issue? Did my company change its firewall settings or something?

    Looked fine to me – standard theme – gray background on the sides and a bit of shading for the posts.

    Thanks — I’m chasing my IT guys to see if they made some security change — but other sophisticated websites and blogs are loading fine!

    I double-checked again and as of today the background theme seemed to be loading for NO ONE. I changed themes and this seemed to take care of my problem. I do wonder what’s been happening with Word Press themes however. While going through the various theme choices, I noticed that maybe 20% of them would not load — just my content would appear on the website.

    So, I’ve got my blog fixed I think, but the mystery remains. Anyone know why a percentage of the themes are not loading anymore? My old theme was “Contempt”. My new one is “Bueno”.

    I also notice Bueno is not loading in my Windows Mobile device for Opera or for Explorer although all seems well on the desktop browsers.

    Michael, I’m seeing the full theme with all parts where they should be. You are using Bueno with the bluish-grey patterned background.

    There is something bizarre going on where this effects only some people, and I’m unsure if it is a change wordpress made, or something else.

    I’ve tagged this thread for staff attention since they are out of the office till the 19th, but they are monitoring the forums.

    Well… now I can’t edit existing pages — I get a blank box where my content should be for editing… I don’t want to hijack my own thread — I’ll go see if anyone else is posting about this and/or start a new thread…

    Michael,

    Please check with your IT department. I believe that there is a block that is preventing your connection from reaching the servers we use to serve images and styles.

    You can test this by trying to reach these links:

    http://s0.wp.com
    http://s1.wp.com
    http://s2.wp.com

    If you are able to reach all three of them, please let me know and we’ll take a closer look. Thanks!

    Hi Markel,

    There *IS* a block! I can reach the first site fine, but the 2nd and 3rd are being blocked by Sonicwall for “pornography”.

    I’m after IT as we speak…

    Any chance this is also related to me being unable to edit existing and new posts? Can’t see the text.
