Alter Featured Content on Venture

    Hi,

    I’m wondering if it is possible, via CSS, to have a picture with overlaid text as the featured content immediately under the header/menu?

    At the moment I have to link to pages in the site to display an image, and of course I don’t really want the name of a site page to the first peice of text the user sees when landing on the site – I would prefer a call to action or the like…

    Hi, Presuming you are sticking with your premium theme: Venture, I don’t know whether it would be a question of CSS or whether it’s possible or not to add what you want within the existing options available with this theme. It sounds like you want something like a portfolio in the first area below your main menu which can link to relevant content, but I don’t know if that would fit your requirements or be possible or not.

    I do suggest you ask this question in the dedicated premium theme section for the Venture theme https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/venture as you have paid for this theme. There I expect you will get a reply from the theme author, and I’d expect they will clarify what is possible and how to achieve it better than I could!

    Do you mean on your homepage? If so – sure, this is possible. You could insert an image in your page editor for the page titled “Adventurer • Writer • Speaker” and add a link on it from there. If you’re referring to another spot or have further questions, just let me know.

    andysabel – CSS questions are exactly what this forum is for, so please don’t send folks away to another forum to ask their question again.
