  Images have gone missing from my posts, and I have not removed them. Suspect intruder. Password changed recently to prevent further instances.. It it possible to find out more about who and how this happeend. Thanks John

  Just to reassure you, looking at the account, I can’t see this is the case.

  I can see some images have been deleted, but around 5 months ago – is this what you’re referring to?

  Many thanks for your swift reply. I note your comments.

  The missing files and images were part of my blog not accessed very often, so it has taken some time to notice any changes, but then –

  I noticed changes around two months ago but did not give it much thought, however when I finally decided to give the matter more thought I am pretty sure that I did not delete them. (I can very easily replace them as I still have copies)

  However it has been on my mind that someone could be accessing and deleting my files and wished to know more.

  I had hoped that some light could be thrown on the matter.
  Is this something you could help with?

  Hi John,

  Looking closer at clockworkengineer.wordpress.com, we do not see any activity on the site that would lead us to believe anyone other than the owner account has been working on the site. A few things you can do from here…

  1. Most importantly – Use this opportunity to update your password. Be sure to pick a strong one.

  2. Log out of every browser and/or device. And consider logging out each time you are finished working in your sites.

  3. Check in with the site a little more regularly over the next few weeks or so.

  Again, it’s very unlikely anyone else but you is signing in and working on your sites. At the very least, we highly recommend performing item 1 above.
