Altering the domain name

  We mapped a domain name bar-b-tube.com that we created at Go Daddy but WordPress changed it to barbtubedotcom.wordpress.com. We have figured out WordPress does not like ‘-‘. That is why the ‘-‘ we removed. How to we change the domain name from barbtubedotcom.wordpress.com to simply barbtube.wordpress.com ?

  Hi there,

  If you’d like, you can map your domain name bar-b-tube.com from the Domains page to use it with your site. That will make it so your domain name bar-b-tube.com appears to all of your site’s visitors, instead of the free address ending in .wordpress.com. (You can also follow the steps in our guide to Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping) to do that.)

  In addition, you can change your site’s free address in the site’s General Settings. Near the bottom of those settings, you’ll see the option “Change Site Address.” You can use that to change your site’s free address from barbtubedotcom.wordpress.com to barbtube.wordpress.com.
