Alternative email format option Comment moderation notifications

  When I receive an email notifying me of a new comment for moderation, I frequently reply to the email directly. But that means that I have to repurpose the body text of the original Comment email in order to be able to immediately Reply to it. I hit the Reply button my email client, then copy the Comment Author’s email address from the body text and paste it in the TO field. I then have to remove everything in the original email message except the original Comment text so they don;t see all the Admin stuff. It’s a pain.

  It would be wonderful to have an option in the Discussion Settings (which by the way should be called Comments Settings)for an additional Comment email format. That is, I would like a new option that would cause outgoing Comment emails to be formatted as if the Comment had originally been sent from the comment author via email. WordPress would use the Comment Author’s email address as the Reply-To address in the Comment email to the Administrator. So, when the Admin receives a Comment Email in the new format, then hits the Reply button, the reply would be addressed to the author’s email address and the original message (in the Reply) would only contain the original Comment and none of the Admin text and moderation links.

  Ideally, you would provide Admins with the option of requesting one or both Comment email formats.
