Alternative way to map a subdomain?

  Is it possible to map a subdomain by changing the nameservers assigned to the subdomain zone. At GoDaddy, I can add NS records to point to WordPress nameservers for the subdomain. In this case, I don’t need to put any CNAME record. It should work the exact same way as if I would map the entire domain since the nameservers listed for the new domain would be WordPress nameservers.

  You’ll need to use a CNAME in order to map a subdomain to your WordPress.com blog:
