Altofocus search not working?

  Hi

  I have the search option on https://swisscoverybasel.blog, but no matter which word I search for, I get no hits.

  Is this because I have “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” checked, because the site is not ready to be published yet?
  (I deactivated it and tried, still no hits, but maybe I’d need to wait longer?)

  Hi Manu, can you let me know what search term you’re using, and what post contains it? I see some published posts, but they don’t have much text. Here’s something I could find:

  https://swisscoverybasel.blog/?s=text+3

  Does the search only work for posts, not for pages? That’s not what people expect from a site search. Is there any way to also search for text on pages?

  This works correctly here, for example (search field at the bottom of the page) https://manuschwendener.ch/contact – finds text both on pages and in blog posts.

  Hello there,

  Does the search only work for posts, not for pages? That’s not what people expect from a site search. Is there any way to also search for text on pages?

  This works for both posts and pages.

  What are you searching for exactly and what are you seeing? What are you expecting to see?

  We’ll try and replicate the behaviour and explain why these results are coming up.

  Thank you for that information.

  When I search for traktandenliste – https://swisscoverybasel.blog/abkuerzungen does come up in the search results.

  Equally, I’ve searched for Hauptmenu – and https://swisscoverybasel.blog/wunschliste shows in the results also.

  Are you able to run some further searches and provide links to searches (i.e. https://swisscoverybasel.blog/?s=traktandenliste ) so that we can check these also.

  Oh. This is a browser problem. I see the search result in Chrome, but not in Forefox. Both on Windows and on Mac.

  Yes, but that should not keep the sitesearch from working.
