AltoFocus – slideshow gallery in post

  Hello, I have a question about the AltoFocus theme that I would like to use for my website about Slovene beekeeping. The theme says that to have the slideshow header in post, one just needs to select the slideshow option. However, still the slideshow only appears in the actual post, not in the header, and the first image is chosen as the featured image. I would however like the option to have the gallery instead of the featured image in the post. Would it be possible to get some advice on this? Thank you.

  Hi there, it’s only possible now to add that header slideshow via the Classic Block>Add Media then select multiple images and in the next screen, choose “slideshow”. The slideshow is not automatic and needs to be manually advanced.

  Hi, thank yo uso much! The header now works. However, there is no option to click on the photos and view them in full size, do you know if this can be fixed or if they can somehow be enlarged? They are in high resolution but the individual photos still appear quite small, even if I select the “Large” size in the menu of the classic block. Thank you for your answer :)

  Hi again, AFAIK the header images are custom sized so it doesn’t really matter what size you choose in the settings. Also AFAIK it’s never been possible to click on an image in the Altofocus Gallery header to enlarge it. You can only scroll through the header images by clicking on the arrows at right and left.

  If you want people to enlarge the images, you might consider adding a second gallery to the post itself, then you can use any of the available gallery blocks.

  When you say “high resolution” keep in mind that 1200 pixels wide is the preferred size for Altofocus https://wordpress.com/theme/altofocus Any larger/heavier images will needlessly eat up your available storage space. https://wordpress.com/support/media/image-optimization/
