Altofocus Theme – customising colours
-
Hi, I’m setting up my site with the Altofocus theme, but I’m struggling when it comes to changing the colours.
I can choose my background colour in the customiser, and then I can choose one other colour as the “Link colour”. However, the colour I chose as the link colour shows up much darker/muddy as my site name and menu text colour on the homepage, and the “testing” link. I’ve tried multiple different colours using the HEX codes from my brand colours.
I cannot change the text colour where it says “Site under construction” in black.
I also cannot set up any other colours within posts/pages unless I do so per block – I cannot save any theme colours; they are set to orange and a selection of greys, so have to copy and paste the HEX code in each time. And I cannot change the link text for links within my text from orange, which doesn’t match my brand colours at all, although I think this may show up as the muddy version from the published homepage – I haven’t published any other pages yet.
Please help! I really like the theme otherwise.

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
”. However, the colour I chose as the link colour shows up much darker/muddy as my site name and menu text colour on the homepage, and the “testing” link.
I can see what you mean here – it looks like this theme is using a
visited-linkstyle. If you were to clear the browser cache, the link colour would change to what is set in the customiser until clicked.I cannot change the text colour where it says “Site under construction” in black.
It looks like this can be changed via a CSS change. Technically this is not a link colour and so would not change with colours and backgrounds set in those theme options.
I also cannot set up any other colours within posts/pages unless I do so per block – I cannot save any theme colours; they are set to orange and a selection of greys, so have to copy and paste the HEX code in each time.
Hmm, it sounds like you require some granular colour changes there. Would changing themes to one that uses Full Site Editing be of interest: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/full-site-editing/cleamadethis.com?s=full
The reason why I ask is because these themes offer such changes (generally), and could reduce the need for CSS changes in the site.
