Alves: hide title statistic homepage
-
How can I hide the title of a statistic homepage in the Alves theme? I can’t remove the big white space under the menu and above the header picture.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi,
Those are two separate issues. Hiding the title on Alves may be done at by unchecking the box labeled “Display Site Title and Tagline” at Customize > Site Identity, and then saving the change.
Decreasing the space between the header navigation menu and the header on smaller devices would, I think, require CSS customization. If you have a paid plan that includes “Advanced Design Customization” (Premium or higher) then you should be able to adjust that space with CSS code. Please add a “modlook” tag in the sidebar at right to call for staff attention if you’re interested in reducing that space with custom CSS.

Hi,
thanks for you help! The problem is that the box labeled “Display Site Title and Tagline” doesn’t show up at Customize. I made a second WordPress account and on that account I’m able to check the box, but not on my professional account.
Is there a way to add this check box to my other account?

Hi,
The problem is that the box labeled “Display Site Title and Tagline” doesn’t show up at Customize.
It should be visible to any user on the site assigned the Administrator role (see User Roles). Users assigned any role other than Administrator don’t have access to Customize.
I made a second WordPress account and on that account I’m able to check the box, but not on my professional account.
What are the user roles of the first and second accounts? Are you at Customize on the same site with the professional account?
