Alves theme header – Pinterest icon not appearing
-
Hi everyone, I have just installed the Alves theme on my business website (staging area) and I’m having an issue with the social links menu in the header section (right-hand side, beneath the primary nav). You can see the section here on the theme demo site: https://alvesdemo.wordpress.com/
The first three social icons (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram) appear fine on my site, but the Pinterest logo isn’t generated when I add the link (a generic ‘link’ icon appears). I’ve looked for help in the WordPress support area, which says the Pinterest icon should be supported.
Can anyone provide any help as to what the issue might be, please? Or what I might need to change in the theme code?
Thanks in advance!

Try using the form
https://www.pinterest.com/usernamein the link URL instead of a country domain like pinterest.co.uk or any others, as a first troubleshooting step. The Pinterest country domains don’t have any impact on how others can visit your account, they just assign them when you login from certain locations or set your account to certain countries.
