Am I able to move an expired domain from one account to another?

    Hello,

    I have two WordPress accounts: sarahbenesi and slbenesi. In January of 2012, I registered “sarahbenesi.com” to my sarahbenesi account. I let the subscription run out this January, as I hoped to use it again for my slbenesi account. When I tried creating it for my slbenesi account, however, it says that it is “already registered to another account.” Is there a way I can move it over to the correct one?

    At this point you have two options, you can renew the domain (which will include an $80 late fee from the registrar) and then it can be transferred to the other account.

    Or you can wait a few more weeks for it to work its way through the domain expiration process. Assuming that it gets through without being swiped by any domain lurkers, you would be able to register it from your other account.
