Am I being treated as spam?

My comments are not appearing on other sites. The odd comment gets through but most are disappearing. One person said he’d got a message from me but it appeared to be in a foreign language – he called it ‘Martian’! Wondering what may have happened and what to do about it. Any advice gratefully received!

Thanks. Akismet sent me a form but I couldn’t pin down the problem to the particular URL which might have rejected my comment first. I’m still able to comment on a few sites but not others – very odd. (The Martian message was in fact a quick test post which I published then deleted, so at least I’ve not been hacked by aliens!) Will let you know if Akismet sort this out.
