Am I double-paying for hosting on both ITX Design and WordPress?

  Our website was originally hosted on ITX Design. We built a completely new website dcodp.wordpress.com on WordPress. Does that mean wordpress.com is the new host? We pay WordPress to map the domain name enddeathpenaltyde.org to dcodp.wordpress.com. Now we pay GoDaddy as new domain registrar for enddeathpenaltyde.org. We are still paying ITX Design for hosting. Is that necessary or can hosting just be on WordPress.com now. What are the risks to the wordpress website and domain mapping if I stop paying ITX Design? Thanks!
