  I write movie reviews on my free version of wordpress.com. Can I add Amazon affiliate links to my reviews that will link a reader to purchase or download the movie being reviewed, on Amazon? I’m pretty sure I read in the forums that this is an OK way to monetize a free wordpress.com blog, if a blogger is reviewing a book or a movie.

  Affiliate links are allowed on WordPress.com as long as the primary purpose of your blog is to create original content. For example, you wouldn’t be allowed to create content just to drive traffic through to a third party site using affiliate links. More information about affiliate links can be found here:

  It’s worth noting that there are a few restrictions on the type of code you can add to your site:

  If you are adding text links to your posts, you shouldn’t have any problems.
