  I’m aware that wordpress doesn’t want advertising on wordpress.com blogs, but what about links to amazon?

  There are some lessons in some books I want to share and I’ll be linking to the book on amazon anyways, why not get some money for it also? I don’t plan on exploiting this to make money, but using it when its appropriate.

  Would this be ok?

  Look under affiliate marketing blogs (in particular the last sentence) in the following support document for when it would be possible to use them.

  Also, you can contact staff directly and clearly explain what you will be doing and get them to tell you if it is OK or not.

  I would run it by staff just to make sure. It’s better than going to your blog and finding it has been suspended.
