  I was able to add some books from Amazon that I recommend from my site a couple of days ago. I went to add some books to the widget and now it will not let me display any books in this widget. Why has this happened? I realize my site is not a book review but my site is specifically about recovery and the posts are all my “passion and experiences” in this area…

  Advertising is, except for a couple very narrow exceptions, not allowed on wordpress.COM. For the exceptions, see the last sentence under “Affiliate marketing blogs” in the bottom set of bullet points in the “types of blogs” link below.

  You need to contact staff directly on this issue as they are the only ones that are able to answer for sure.

  You cannot add the Amazon widget; it uses Javascript. You can only use the text links.
