am I allowed to add a page: Favorite books (titles related to the post/page subjects) of an Amazon Afiliate programm to my blog?
It would be a great service for any of my blog readers. If I am allowed to do it, how does it have to be done please?
Thanks in advance,

No, you can’t add Amazon Affiliates here, but please read this:

I am still confused about this because I am not sure where the line is drawn. On this page:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
It states:
“There are exceptions to this policy. Amazon.com and other select affiliate links are permitted so long as they are not the primary content of the blog in question. Other exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.”which seems to indicate Amazon affiliate links are fine as long as it is not the primary content.
http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
This page says
Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (“Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes. To be clear, people writing their own original book, movie or game reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category. Here is a thread in the support forums that talks more about which affiliate links are OK or not OK.and mainly talks about linking to your own products, and the post that it links to

Has a staff member saying:
@tryingtraditional if you have a real blog with real content and real readers, we don’t mind the occasional affiliate link to a reputable store (Amazon being the textbook example).
The things that we absolutely don’t permit are: banner ads; MLM/network marketing/get rich schemes; fake blogs; and spam of any kind (i.e. unwanted bulk comments/blogs/posts/emails).and
If it’s a reputable, relevant store (and not MLM), a single sidebar link, and a real blog, I don’t see a problem. The docs refer to Amazon specifically, but you can substitute another reputable store/site if there’s something more appropriate. If you have a real blog about fishing, then we don’t mind a referral link to your local fishing store that gets you a discount or credit or whatever.these posts seem to indicate that Amazon Affiliates are ok, at least in certain circumstances, though I think the situation mentioned by the initial author does not fall under these. However, is a single affiliate link on the page, or occasional link a problem? The posts I quote seem to indicate it might be fine.

I’m afraid the only people who can answer these questions for certain, are staff. The questions on these forums are predominantly responded to by volunteers (like me). This topic is flagged for staff to look at it and I’m sure they will as soon as they can. However, they tend not to work on weekends, so you might have to wait until the weekend is over.

Thanks. I sent them an e-mail asking for clarification of their policy. In the support forums I have seen many flat out, “No” answers to this question but their own documentation seems to provide a more nuanced, though sadly very subjective, guideline. Anyway, I would be interested in seeing their response.

The OP was asking about a page which would be entirely affiliate links; that’s obviously out.
In general, staff say that if your blog is a book review blog, not a sales blog, you should be okay. That does NOT prevent the automated software from stripping out links, if it considers there are too many affiliate links on a page. If you’re on a theme with infinite scroll, this is obviously going to be a problem.
