  I have 2 questions 1) I have some of my books on amazon and I would like to put a link/photo on my wordpress.com free blog. Is this allowed
  2) can I advertise on my blog with Adsense if I upgrade to the premium blog.
  Kindly clarify. Thank you

  If you wrote the books yourself, then you can definitely link to Amazon and sell them.

  You can only get advertising through WordPress’ WordAds, which to get, you must apply for here: http://wordads.co/ and you need a custom domain, which will cost you $18 a year. Note that unless you get a very large amount of traffic, it is unlikely you will even make enough money to break even and recoup the $18. If you want to get more money from advertising, then you should consider getting a wordpress.ORG blog, where you can use Adsense. You don’t have to buy the Premium Blog upgrade, just the custom domain upgrade:
