  I believe that I read somewhere that ads are not allowed on wordpress.com, but if you have an Etsy store, or are reviewing and recommending books, etc., that it’s OK to have a link to an Amazon store. I just wanted to confirm that because I can’t find the page where I saw that information.

  If your blog exists primarily to review books, not to sell them, then you can have an affiliate link to the Amazon page for that book. I don’t believe you can link to an Amazon store, but you can contact staff directly via your dashboard help button for clarification.
