Amazon Widget for a real blog

I read through the first several pages of the amazon widget thread and I noticed that it repeatedly said to contact staff for individual and detailed questions, which is why I am contacting you.

I read the rule that was repeatedly posted by time thief that said a blog can not exist for the sole purpose of directing traffic to third party sites. I don’t feel that my blog does that. I have an education blog where I give tips on how to write better as well as educational activities parents can do with their children. The blog also highlights successful people and their thoughts as to how literacy has made them successful. All of these tips and topics are located under the categories. I wanted to recommend products that I think assist with the mission of my site.

I noticed that someone named “mark” looked at the original poster’s blog and it seemed that he gave that original poster an okay to have links. I was hoping someone could look at my blog as well to determine that my purpose is to promote literacy in the home and not to profit of of fake get rich quick schemes.

    Sincerely,
    Leigh

    Hi learningwithleigh,

If you have questions about what is or is not acceptable on WordPress.com, please see our Terms of Service here:
    http://en.wordpress.com/tos/

Right now your site seems fine. If you are not creating a spam blog or a site to build SEO or to direct people to a commercial site, and generally are with the bounds of what is acceptable according to our TOS, you shouldn’t run into trouble. However, please note that we can’t really give blanket approvals for websites as website content can always change later on.

Note that you cannot use Amazon widget code anyway; it will be stripped out for security reasons. You can use a simple Text or Image link, that’s all.
