Amending "More" tags to send reader to top of post

    Hi.

I am running with Theme Minimalizine and would like to know if it’s possible to have the “More” links in Posts send the reader straight to the top of the post.

If so, is there any way I can do that by adding something to my Customize CSS?

The only suggestions I’ve come across seem to involve a bulk replace in the functions.php, but I’m not even sure where that is, nor if I can access it with this Theme.

If that is the only way, and this Theme allows me to do so, could you let me know what I need to do?

    Many thanks for your time.

    Regards

This isn’t something you can change with CSS and we can’t make any changes to the theme files (that’s for self-hosted wordpress.org sites).

    Ah, ok. Shame.

And is there an alternative means I can explore to achieve something similar? I’ve seen some posts discussing “the_excerpt()”, though I don’t fully understand them, nor if that’s an option for me running this theme.

Do you know if that’s possible here? Or should I in any case be posting this question in the main Support forum?

    Thanks again.

    Regards

That’s a reference to editing PHP files for self-hosted wordpress.org blogs. Here at wordpress.com we don’t have that facility (we also don’t have to pay for hosting or worry about security and many other things!). This com vs org support article should make the differences clear.

I see. Ok, I’ll stick with what I’ve got for the time being.

Many thanks for the time and information.
