amount of text displayed and comments on page feed

    I was wondering if it is possible to have the ‘leave a reply’ comment option on the main page where blogs are displayed chronologically. Currently you have to click into each blog post to have the ‘leave a reply’ option displayed. could this be displayed on the main page under each blog??
    Also, the current settings of how much text of each post is displayed on the main feed is set to ‘summary’, instead of ‘full text’. is there anywhere in my dashboard settings where i can display even less than the summary? and limit it to a paragraph or a few lines?

    Thanks.

    The only theme here that does that is P2, which is a twitter like theme.

    In general this isn’t done because it makes navigation a bit of a nightmare if you have posts that get a good number of comments. Even one or two long-winded commenters can cause your visitors to have to scroll down a long ways to get to the next post. I’ve got several blogs I follow that get 100 to 750 comments per post. Can you imagine trying to scroll down past all those? Also, it could severely slow down the loading of your main page, and the search engines now take page loading time into account when calculating your search engine ranking.

    @groupswitching

    http://groupswitching.com/feed/ is showing only a few lines.

    If you are talking about how much of each post appears on the main page, then you can use the “more” tag.
