AMP, how to disable?
-
I need help to disable AMP. Been going through the tutorial for it, checking reddit, links, and I just can’t seem to find the option.
I know I had it before, because I remember messing with it, and I think I disabled it. But now, for some reason when visiting my site on a phone, it still comes up as the mobile version. So how do I disable it? I just want my site looking like it does on PC, for phones too.
Thanks

Hi there,
Have you disabled the AMP plugin from the plugins page on your WordPress dashboard? You can deactivate the AMP plugin at Plugins → Installed Plugins.
Here’s a WordPress article that goes more in depth.

I hope this helps!

I don’t have anything under plugins. I don’t have any options at all for AMP anywhere :/

Hi again,
This is certainly strange.
I checked your with Google’s tester (https://search.google.com/test/amp) site to see if Google AMP is being used on it, and it doesn’t seem like it’s being detected on Google.
I did check on your website on my mobile device, and I do understand your concern. Could you perhaps check around your website’s customizer (appearance -> customize) and see if there’s anything that might be showcasing options for AMP or for a mobile viewpoint?
Here’s a link for more information on the customizer: https://wordpress.com/support/customizer/
Otherwise, I’m thinking that this might be a cache problem, where the mobile cache hasn’t been reset since the last time you had Google AMP.
Here’s some more information on clearing your site cache:

I got nothing in the customizer, and from what I remember, that was the place for AMP stuff. Not sure why it’s gone now.
Unfortunately, I don’t have access to that. I don’t pay enough for that service :(
But it sounds like it could have something to do with the cache. Thanks for the help, though.
