Ampersand Issue
-
Apologies, I had no idea where to ask this, but I work for a website that uses wordpress to make its articles. Other people use it with me, but for some reason I’ve run into a problem with Ampersands. Now I KNOW in code that ampersands technically come out as & – but they’ve never appeared that way for me in code view before. They always used to be just “&”. When the post is published, I still see just “&” but I want my code view to stop replacing my ampersands with “&”. Here’s a link to an image:
Notice the “&”? All my ampersands keep getting turned into those, but I want it to stay as “&”.

Doesn’t seem like I can edit my post, but I wanted to clarify that i’m the only individual with this problem, and the problem persists even when using multiple browsers. Could this be a problem with my PC or encoding specifically?

Sorry for triple posting but i just realized that this post itself turned my “& amp;”s into just “&”…

Hi nofdhdfhfdhd,
Could you please confirm the website URL you need help with?
It sounds like you may have a self-hosted WordPress.org website, which is different from a WordPress.com site.

These forums are for WordPress.com sites only. You can find WordPress.org support documentation and forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/
