i’m a 1st time user trying to upgrade to Business, but got ‘An active access token must be used create a new Site for the User’. Already enabled 3rd party cookies, clear chache & browsing data but still got the same error message.
Chrome version 55.0.2883.87 m
1.5 hours wasted already. not what i expect when i’m willing to pay $25/m

I don’t see any WordPress.com sites in your account, what is the URL of the site you wish to upgrade to Business plan?

We are taken to that page, but then when we select a domain name we are taken to the “access token” error message. Regardless of whether we try use a free domain or upgrade, the same error displays

Are you able to create a site using the Free plan (no upgrades or domains)? To get you up and running, I’m wondering if you can create a site using the Free plan and then upgrade once you’ve done so. That might be what you mean’t but just wanted to make sure :)

Hi there. I tried to configure my new domain http://www.terapiafrequencial.com clicking the option to pay U$ 13.00 a year, but received the message: An active access token must be used create a new Site for the User. And I don’t know what to do.

Sorry. I made a mistake trying to configure my domain. So, I started again. Now, my domain was configured as terapiafrequencial.wordpress.com in a free account, instead what I asked, to configure as a own domain, using the 2.99 Personal Plan. Can I start with this free plan while I prepare my site and after that, change the plan to get my own domain?

You can absolutely create a site on the Free plan and then upgrade. Paid plans include a domain credit which you can use to register new domain for your site.

I have been trying for several days now to set up a blog ($2.99/month) on TOR Browser and keep getting the “An active access token must be used create a new Site for the User” error message. Non of the fixes mentioned previously in this stream work. I can access WordPress through someone else’s blog (i.e., FutonPoncho) but cannot set up my own site. Given the volatile nature of the political situation in the U.S. today, anonymity is very important. If I cannot find a resolution to this I will have to look at alternative sites. Thank you.

I have a domain name and when I try and enter it – it asks about the “token”. I don’t see where the question was answered – where is this token?
