An automated WordPress update has failed to complete

  I have this message at the top of my dashboard – “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again”, but when I click on it to update again I get this message “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” This has happened several times and I can’t update whatever it is I’m supposed to update.

  The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
