An easy way to enter information?

I have a spread sheet with over 500 rows and 10 columns of information that I need to enter into the WordPress format. (Each row is an individual Project, with the columns representing the different information that needs to go with that project. That includes: Project name, meta data, SEO, tags, categories, etc. )

Is there an easier way to import information to create individual projects from an excel sheet or will I have to go in and copy and paste 500 projects individually into WordPress?

Any ideas would be wonderful! Thanks!

Just from a reader’s point of view, and only my opinion, I would never read 500 rows of 10 columns for any reason except that I was being paid by the hour to do so.
Again, just my opinion, if you have a public blog to educate people about a topic, would it not be better to make posts to define each individual section one by one?
Data is one thing, but informing folks is another.

Oh no I am not asking about importing the excel sheet itself. I have about 500 videos that I am going to be uploading for my company who is using WordPress as the backplate for their website.

I used excel to compile all the information for those videos and now instead of having to copy and paste the information for each individual video to WordPress perhaps there is an easier way to insert all the information? Sorry I should have been more clear.

I probably also say that this question is separate from my personal WordPress blog. I just didn’t think it was necessary to create a new account for one question when I had a login already available.

Is your company’s account on WordPress.COM or is it on WordPress.ORG? The two versions are completely different platforms so answers for one won’t usually apply to the other.

See here about the different flavors of wordpress which are available:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

For example, if you want videos on wp.COM you will have to host them somewhere like YouTube or Vimeo unless you purchase a video upgrade to host them directly on wp.COM
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/videopress/
whereas if you host your business site somewhere else, it would depend on the terms you have settled with the host how many GBs of storage you are allowed.

I’m not familiar enough with wp.ORG but I believe you can upload videos directly to your site, depending on what your host allows. There may even be a plugin on wp.ORG which could upload multiple videos in one go: sorry but that’s a different platform, and I don’t have experience with videos on wp.org. They have their own support forums.

The point is that it does depend on the specific site you are asking about in order to get accurate information.

We’re using wp.COM and linking with Vimeo and have purchased a video upgrade.

There is no easy, automatic way to convert a spreadsheet into blog posts here. You’ll have to do this by copy-pasting, but be aware spreadsheet software is not web-compatible and you may run into HTML problems unless you first go to your dashboard Settings->Writing page and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML” and save. Then when you paste the text in, use the Paste as Text button in the advanced toolbar.
