An error occurred authorizing facebook account

  I’m trying to link to my facebook page via Settings > Sharing, and getting the above non-specific error. Here’s the situation; it may not be what WordPress is expecting:

  I have a facebook profile (as an individual user), and also a facebook page (as a band). The way it works is that, to administer the page, I have to log in as the individual user, who is specified as the administrator of the band page.

  When I share via WordPress, I enter the individual user email address and pw. Then I get the error.

  Is it possible that the error is the result of the fact that I have a band page linked to the individual page? Furthermore, what I really want is to share with the band page, not the individual profile.

  Or could this be a different problem. How can I get more information on what the problem is?

  Hi. It looks like Facebook changed the way one logs in when managing a page. Perhaps it has an impact on the Publicize. If no volunteers are able to answer at this point, I suggest you contact staff:
