an image not inserted into a post

  I was just wondering how you insert an image that stays at the top of the page. I see how to put them into a post. But now how to have them stay at the top of the page regardless of the posts. I want to put it on top of my posts page and have it stay there.

  You could insert it into a post, but make that post a sticky post so that it always displays at the top?
