An issue with the deleting of a post
-
Hello, on my website ‘my little a(h)elf’, I published a post titled ‘Welcome’yesterday, and had deleted it. Now I have published a new post by the same title, but when I open that post, I am directed back to the one I had deleted earlier. So it seems that the earlier post has not been removed, in spite of my deleting it. Would you please fix this problem? Thank you.

It sounds like you might have a caching issue in your browser, because the original post was deleted.
When you make a post in WordPress, it gets assigned an unique Post ID, which is tied to your site and is unique to each post and is how we track things like visitors, page views, stats, etc.
Looking at your site’s logs, it looks like the post ID that you published and deleted was Post ID
69. If you load https://itsmylittleshelf.wordpress.com/?p=69 in your browser (the?p=69indicates that post ID), you’ll see there’s no post to be found. The new post you published has a Post ID of
94, so if you load URL https://itsmylittleshelf.wordpress.com/?p=94, it redirects to https://itsmylittleshelf.wordpress.com/2021/05/06/welcome/ which appears to be the second post you published. Can you confirm that this is what you see as well? If not, try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps.
Let us know how that goes!
