an unknown dash in my site’s title

there is a strange dash (“-“) at the end of my site’s title.
the dash appears on my website’s title when you look it up in google, or when you go into the site and look at the browser’s title line.
but when you look in general>title the name is shown without this “-” dash.
and when you look at customize>site identity it also shows without it. where can i look for it to remove it?

found the issue. it looks like the wordpress is adding a pre made dash for the “tagline”.
so when is no tagline, there is only the dash. once i’ve placed some text in the tagline, the sentence became logical.
