an unknown name links to my posts when I share

Im new, Ive created an online wordpress blog, but if I share a post I get an unknown name linked….at the bottom it states: solberry.wordpress.com BY PRAVEEN PATEL…thats not me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have the same problem with posting to Face Book, Praveen Patel is also coming up as my author. Have checked all settings on FB and WordPress and I am stated as only author in both. Noticed it today, but see yesterday’s post did it too. Praveen Patel appears to be a false link mocked up to look like a facebook page. Think this is a wordpress issue as if I put other links/posts on my facebook page Praveen Patel doesn’t come up as the author. My blog is thecreativitycauldron.com.

A friend shared a post but that name did not appear….I also cleared all my cookies…scanned…rebooted….:(

I think this is a Facebook issue. When you check your posts with the debugger it correctly recognises the author. When it makes the post however it for some reason adds a link to facebook.com/author where the handle “author” is for some reason owned by Praveen Patel (this is the handle from the FB account, e.g. like mine is facebook.com/armin.grewe). I don’t think rescraping like recommended here is going to address that.

Yes, works temporarily then comes back again. Any other suggestions? Presumable report to facebook and hope they notice?

That’s what I’ve done. The more people tell them the better, so that they realise something is wrong

Facebook scrapes the pages correctly, but then processes and displays them incorrectly. It needs to be raised with Facebook, I’ve already logged an issue.
We need more people to do this so that they notice and take it serious. I think it would also help if someone from WordPress brings it up with their contacts at Facebook (I assume they will have some?) -
I’ve also logged an issue with Facebook, and agree it would pobably have more clout if WordPress do it on our behalf.

To illustrate the problem I’ve posted a screenshot collection and my observations on Facebook. Seems some high profile pages are impacted, not sure if they are all powered by WordPress

We’ve had several reports of this already and I’ve made our team that works with partners such as Facebook aware of the issue. However, at the moment @agrewe appears to be correct that this is a Facebook issue, since we’ve yet to see ‘Praveen Patel’ mentioned in any of the affected sites’ source code, and that’s our only way of asking Facebook to display information.
We will continue to investigate anything we can do on our end and report back here with new information once we have any.

Same is happening with me, unknown person’s name appears on all my post pushed via publicize.
I was able to resolve it by disconnecting the publicize first from WP, then goto facebook setting > under apps remove wordpress as an app.
Connect back your FB with WP, and you should be all good.
But all my old posts still show that unknown person’s name in it.
One more strange thing, is that that name shows only when I look at my page via my FB user account, as soon as change the view option to page that name disappears.
