We’ve a made a change to Publicize that may resolve this issue. Can you all please disconnect and reconnect your Facebook Publicize connection: steps are here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services
Note this requires both a step on Facebook, and steps on WordPress.com.
After that, if you continue to see the ‘By Praveen Patel’ on your publicized post, please provide a link to that specific post on your Facebook page for us to examine it.

I have the same issue.
I’ve been able to resolve the issue (hopefully not temporarily) by clicking on “Praveen Patel’s” Facebook page, reporting it (top right section of the screen click on the three dots and on the drop down screen click “report page”) and then blocking the page. When I blocked the page the handle disappeared from my shared blog post. Hope this can help someone else! -
Having the same problem–not using publicize, but the social media integration within ‘Get Noticed’ theme. Any ideas on how to take back authorship of my posts from Praveen? Thanks.

I did block and reported the user as you mentioned but it still shows posted by “Praveen Patel”. The reason why I believe that you don’t see it, it s because you blocked him.. Log out of your Facebook account and check your page again…or/and use another web browser (explorer, safari chrome, fire fox etc.. still by not being login to your Facebook account). Please let us know@alexjgustafson. Since I updated to the latest version of jetpack 3.5.3, I am getting the following error code: 32300 when I try to add Facebook published/connected to my WordPress blog. I checked the forums related to that error code and I just can’t make it work no matter all the recommendations… I also followed the steps that you offered on https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services without success…
Here is my blog i-Spirit.ca . Nay help will be greatly appreciated

I tried to removed the author by editing the Facebook post but you can t do that. I had to delete the Facebook posts :( -

We’re in the same situation at marcandangel.com and we’re using self hosted WordPress with Jetpack installed.
On Facebook most of our articles say BY PRAVEEN PATEL. This can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/marcandangelhacklife/posts/10152983284961378
Any new ideas?

This is such a nuisance. I wonder how many “reports” Facebook needs to get regarding “Praveen Patel” before something is done?

I deleted my wordpess connection to facebook, then i changed the slug and date of those blogs/pages and voila no more praveen!

I am also having the same problem. Hard to know how to report to Facebook…. Would love to hear of any solutions.

I do note that these seemed to start showing up when FB began sharing its “on this day” throwback posts recently.

I have this issue too.
All my facebook posts linking from my WP site, as far back as far as I can scroll have his name on them!
