And why am I excluded from tag pages?

I’m not seeing myself on tag pages. Mind you, I havent gotten a referral from a tag page in a number of years, but this blog is only two months old. I’m wondering if someone can shed some light on it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Caught in the spam system. Apologies.

I’ve got it fixed. You should be good to go.

So, was it just that one blog, or all of them?

And does the frequency of my posting in the forums have an effect on that? IE should I post less here?

Blog by blog thing. Not user account based.

Posting in the forums should not be related.

I’m doing the cyber equivalent of eaves dropping, and that’s good news or I would do a walk-away.

Let’s raise a toast together tonight because it’s Canada Day!

  • Believe me, I know it was Canada day as well. The Trader Joe’s parking lot was packed down here!

Aye, and isn’t that a sad reflection on patriotism? 80% of Canadians live close to the U.S. border and many cross border shop, presumably save a buck and even when the traveling costs rival the savings. As for me, wherever possible I shop local, and I surely don’t equate having a good time with shopping at all.

  • Coming home from fishing this spring, I was caught in the worst Canada>US crossing backup I’d ever experienced on Good Friday. I didn’t realize it was a holiday up there, and I’m usually pretty knowledgeable about that sort of thing. Oof, everybody spending the day off going shopping I guess.

Still, the beautiful weather is back once again. It’s hard to grump too much about any of that stuff during a Cascadia summer.

I hear those long weekend border crossing line-ups can be hellish but haven’t had the experience of being in one. As a kid I lived in 3 American states, 3 Canadian provinces and 2 territories. You have probably visited the big island (Vancouver Island) but not the small islands. Hubby and I moved here, back to the Salish Sea where I was born, to live in the Gulf Islands at the end of the seventies, when one could afford to buy a place in paradise. We live a very simple life by choice. Everything we need or want is here.

  • I love Canada. But I don’t love the crossings in either direction. But at least the Canadian customs officers are generally pretty nice. I’ve gotten far more rude and weird questions coming back home.
