  I use the Andreas04 design. It has an “about” page included in the frontpage. When I transfered my other blog to the Adreos04 design, the ability to show an “about” page on the frontpage seemed to be lost. Is there a way to restore that ability?

  My ideal frontpage would shows post on the left side. A page on the right side and underneath the page two columns with widgets.

  That page is not built into the theme. You can always go to Write>Page and create an About page yourself.
