Andy Skelton’s stats plugin displays my own visits
-
Beyond any doubt whatsoever my stats DO display my own visits, despite what it says on the tin. I have tested this by repeatedly clicking to an obscure, older post on my bog (http://blogolob.net) and have found that these clicks are added to my stats a few minutes later.
Where am I going wrong?
Thanks

Were you logged in to your blog when you did that? It will count you if you’re not logged in.
-
No, up to now I have preferred to stay unlogged in as I then see my blog exactly as my visitors would.
Henceforth I shall remain logged in at all times. I’ve learnt my lesson and will never log out again.
Thanks for the very rapid reply.

You’re welcome. Why not come to your blog unlogged-in every day, so you see it as others do, then log in? That way it is the best of both worlds.

I have my domain mapped elsewhere, and this seems to mean I’m never recognised as logged in and every page I visit gets counted in the stats. Even if I <view site> direct from the dashboard, I get logged out as soon as my blog opens.
My blog is micheleconnolly.wordpress.com mapped to blog.HappinessStrategies.com.
How can I get non-me stats? -
PS: Separate to the blog stats issue above but relevant to the domain mapping issue –
I don’t seem able to view my own private pages. As soon as I click <view> from Manage Pages I get logged out and [Error 404 Sorry, but you are looking for something that is not here].
Nor can I get to the dashboard from my blog (the top bit no longer shows since I domain mapped). -
IMO these are matters that will require staff help to sort http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
