anemone theme – border
-
Hello,
I’ve adopted the ‘Anemone’ theme and I was wondering if it might be possible to remove the border?
Thanks,
JamieThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @jamiemaxwell86,
You can set the Theme Style to “Wide” so it will show in full width, instead of box.
You’ll find Anemone’s theme options in the Customizer, under Customize → Theme Options. See screenshot here: https://theme.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/theme-options-anemone-wordpress-theme.png
You will find more information on how to set up this theme from this link – https://wordpress.com/theme/anemone/setup

Oh yeah – terrific, thanks!
And would it be possible to remove my name from beneath the articles on the homepage, and my name and the dates from above the articles on the article pages?

Thanks. I don’t think I have Content Options on this theme. Would it be possible to make those changes with some CSS?
-
Yes, you can Add Custom CSS.
You can try this code below:
.entry-meta.entry-meta-header.entry-meta-header-bottom { display: none; }Let me know if you need assistance putting this.

Cool! That worked, thank you.
There were three small other things I was hoping to do.
1. I’d like to remove the category tags above the articles on the header page.
2. Beneath the article titles on the main page I’d like add the names of publication the individual articles were published in, as well as the date they were published on, in my own format.
3. In the article pages, beneath the article titles, I’d like to remove my name and the dates.
If there’s a CSS format for these changes that you can suggest, I’d be happy to add it myself, either to the CSS section in Customize or in the article HTMLs.
Many thanks again!

You’re welcome! :)
1. I’d like to remove the category tags above the articles on the header page.
You can add CSS for this:
.entry-meta.entry-meta-site-hero { display: none; }2. Beneath the article titles on the main page I'd like add the names of publication the individual articles were published in, as well as the date they were published on, in my own format.I am thinking you can put it in as a lead paragraph of your article, as it is supported by your theme:
<p class="lead">...</p>However, this will only make them bold, and would only show on the article page.
If you wanted them to show up on the front page, under the blog titles, you would need to put an excerpt. I am not sure if that is supported by your theme.
I am tagging a WP Support, you will find the tag “modlook” on the right, in case they have suggestions for you on this.
3. In the article pages, beneath the article titles, I’d like to remove my name and the dates.
You can also add CSS for this:
.entry-meta.entry-meta-header.entry-meta-header-top { display: none; }Let me know if you need further assistance.

I’m sorry, I just noticed that I interchanged the CSS codes. :D
This is to remove the category:
.entry-meta.entry-meta-header.entry-meta-header-top { display: none; }and this is to remove your name and dates from the article page:
.entry-meta.entry-meta-site-hero { display: none; }Let’s wait for a WP support for this one:
2. Beneath the article titles on the main page I’d like add the names of publication the individual articles were published in, as well as the date they were published on, in my own format.

Hi folks, this was tagged for staff support but it looks like staff-imahappyengineer’s got it! Did you need more help?

Hi @supernovia,
@jamiemaxwell86 needs help on this:
2. Beneath the article titles on the main page I’d like add the names of publication the individual articles were published in, as well as the date they were published on, in my own format.
She’s using Anemone theme. I am thinking putting an excerpt on the front page, not just so sure if it’s supported by this theme.
Thank you so much.

Hi,
Yes – I was hoping to be able to add a couple of things beneath the article titles on the main page, preferably without an excerpt, but if that’s the only way of doing it that’s OK too.
Thanks!

Got it. This theme doesn’t pull in excerpts as far as I can tell.
@jamiemaxwell86 please let us know specifically what information you’re hoping to pull in on the front page.
Let me know too how many different publications you’re working with — is it a dozen or so, or many more than that?
-
Hi supernovia,
There are 40 articles just now, published in 10 separate publications.
What I’d like to do is put the name of the publications beneath the article titles on the front page, along with the date of publication, in this form:
The Herald – 9 . 9 . 2017
VICE – 31 . 8 . 2017
Etc.
Thanks!

The name of the publication would be doable if you only have 10 publications to work with — you would tag the post with the publication name, and we’d use CSS to add that publication name accordingly. You’d need a line or two of CSS for each publication, and you’d need to remember to tag them each time.
The date would not be doable in this theme (unless you wanted to have CSS and tags for every date, too, which is not ideal). You would have to use the excerpt in a theme that supports that.
