  I inserted an animated .gif file into my blog. It does not run in the preview. If I click on the .gif image it runs in a separate window and runs ok. Will it run in the email that is sent out when I publish without having to click on the image?

  Howdy,

  Animated GIFs won’t work properly if they’re resized anywhere along the process.
  For this reason, it may not be animated in the emails you send out.

  You might want to make sure your post contains the full-sized image, rather than a resized one. This will improve the chances that the GIF properly animates for users.
