Animated gif does not resize for responsive design (desktop tablet mobile)
-
Hello forum members,
I have an animated gif I created for my wordpress homepage, and it looks great on a full screen desktop display, but when I tested it for viewing on tablet and mobile, the image does not resize with the rest of the page layout. Perhaps a CSS modification on the image wrapper could solve this, or a settings change? If anyone could suggest a solution I’d greatly appreciate it, thanks so much!

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?
The reason why I ask is because I can’t see a GIF on themetest404.wordpress.com. Once we know the URL, we can look to replicate what you’re seeing.
Many thanks in advance!

Sure, and thank you! I believe I previously had the page set to hidden, it should work now, I just tested it on a secondary browser – the url is: https://themetest404.wordpress.com

Actually, hold off for a bit, I’m changing design templates – I’m super frustrated by this “block” concept, I’m finding several themes don’t allow for proper navigation editing any more. I used to set up sites here all the time, but now things seem very buggy!

Hey there,
Thanks I see it!
I see that a cover block is in use – have you tried using an image block instead?
This may resize to what you want, as a cover block is mainly designed to display text on top of an image, the image won’t configure on re-size.
I hope this helps!

Okay, navigation problems resolved! Back to resizing the gif – please have a look – thanks
