  Am quite new to word press so i would like to add a animated header by CSS code in my website it would be good if somebody helps me with step to step process for that.

  I hope you are doing well.

  What I understood from your query is, you want to add a GIF in the header.

  You can use an animated GIF as a header. However, make sure to use it without cropping it because cropped images are saved as JPEG which cannot be animated. You can do this even on a free plan as long as it is under the maximum file size.

  I am afraid to tell this but not all the themes support custom headers. Thus, in case you change the theme, please once check what features it offers. If the header size is different than current then you can use a different animated header that is suitable to the theme.
