Annoying editing bug on WordPress.com

  • Unknown's avatar

When editing posts on WordPress.com with a jetpack site, the online editor has an incredibly disruptive bug when it can’t save a draft. Instead of unobtrusively displaying a warning on the side or near the ‘save’ button, it posts a big, disruptive ‘saving of draft failed’ pop-up, then scrolls you to the top of the post and loses your place in the editor – over and over and over again. In most cases, this is a temporary connection issue where pressing ‘save’ works fine. There is no reason to have such bad UI/UX. can you fix this ASAP?

    Hi there!

I am sorry but you are using the wrong forum center.
You are on WordPress.com Forums, when you would need to be on WordPress.org forums.

The difference between WordPress.com forums and WordPress.org can be found here.

Also, I see that your site is hosted from these registrars:

    ns1.a2hosting.com
    ns2.a2hosting.com
    ns3.a2hosting.com
    ns4.a2hosting.com

You might want to contact their support center and get more information.

The forum for WordPress.org can be found here.

    Thanks!
    Alisson

I am editing posts on WordPress.com, connected via JetPack. How is that not a WordPress.com issue?

  • Hi there,

It looks like you already reported the issue via our mobile app support, and they’ve already opened a bug report on this, here: https://github.com/Automattic/wp-calypso/issues/21484

Please don’t open multiple support tickets about the same issue. I’m closing this forum thread as a duplicate.
