Annoying floating menu appearing at bottom of blog's front page
-
Hello, I am having an issue with the display on my worpress.com blog’s front page.
Here is the blog: http://www.ouicestca.com
When I scroll down, a floating semi-transparent menu appears at the bottom. It says “Oui, c’est ça! Create a free website or blog at WordPress.com. Customized Sight Theme.” These are links although I haven’t clicked on them. It is impossible to click “x” on the menu itself. The menu appeared recently – I only noticed it today – and is visually bothersome. How can I make it go away?
Thank you in advance.

Hello Marie! That is your website’s footer. WordPress.com footers contain the name of the website, information about WordPress.com, and credit for the theme’s designer. This is required for all WordPress.com sites. Usually the footer appears at the very bottom of the page. However, because you’ve opted for your blog posts to scroll infinitely, the footer will “float” at the bottom of window.
If you choose to adjust your settings so that a finite amount of posts appear on your front page, the site footer will only appear at the very bottom. It will not “float.”
To make this adjustment, click Settings → Reading. Scroll until you see “To infinity and beyond” and de-select the “Scroll Infinitely” box. Then click Save at the bottom of your page.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much and happy blogging!
