How do I disable the annoying “how can we help?” pop-up in the footer on Admin pages on the bottom right hand corner please? I have two blogs with upgrades and if I need help I know exactly where to get it as that’s stated here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Unfortunately at this point we don’t have a way to permanently turn it off for your account, but folks have been finding success with blocking the popup by using an extension on their browser which blocks anything coming from Olark (the chat provider).
The two extensions which people have been using are Ghostery (https://www.ghostery.com/en/ – been around for a long time, but can be a bit more complicated to configure) and Privacy Badger (https://www.eff.org/privacybadger – brand new and much more simple, but not as widely adopted yet).

Holy cow! I completely missed subscribing to this thread and did not see your reply until now. I’m not into using any of those but this is my belated thanks for your response. I just keep clicking the “x” and choose not to let the appearance of the pop-up annoy me any more.

Oh, no problem at all. I’ll try and let you know if they finally roll out a way to opt out of seeing the chat window.
