Annoying incompatibility between my formatting and that of WordPress.com

I type my draft in Word for Mac. It does not transfer to your platform well. Formatting gets screwed up as soon as I try to edit YOUR draft. For example, I wrote a few lines, then did a “Return” – for single spacing to the left margin, put in 5 spaces and an asterisk (trying to do my own formatting before going to YOUR draft page. When I get to YOUR draft page I notice that my 5 spaces are gone, and if I try to use your formatting tools, the entire effect is lost, not to be recuperated.
I’m really to leave WordPress.com for good.

Changes have been made to the editor dating back to March and more have been made since then. The post from WORD button was removed. When we use the post as plain text button in the Visual editor all formatting is removed. Visual Editor Row 2 icon 5

Blog editors and word processors are not the same and do not work the same way. The web standard is one blank line only, so you cannot add more blank lines by pressing return repeatedly like you would do with a typewriter or in a word processing application.
