Annoying sales attempts

Please stop telling me I need to renew the link from fasterpastor.com. I wanted it to expire, now I am constantly blocked from getting on to try and force me to reassign. This is not on.

While logged into the account, on the notice that says “Uh oh! Your blog’s domain fasterpastor.com expired”, click the “Cancel this domain” link. If the expiration notice still appears after doing that, close your browser completely, restart it and visit the page that had the notice/banner.
Another option: Log into the WordPress.com account that you used to buy the upgrade. Go to your Manage Purchases page and click the cancel link for the upgrade. Here’s more info about cancelling upgrades: https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#canceling-upgrades
If neither of those work, add “modlook” to the tags of this forum thread to let WordPress.com staff know that you need assistance with this issue.

Thank you for your reply.
It might be because I’m on a Mac, but nowhere does it say, “Cancel this domain.”
When I then go to the Manage Purchases pages there is still no cancel link. I’ve gone round and round and round.
I’ll try mod look now, nothing else works. Thanks again.

Hi @paulandmariansinclair, I was able to remove this for you from our end.
@micawbr we’ve lately seen some cases where folks can’t remove an expired domain. We’re working on a fix. If you see those, feel free to modlook us.
Also, if anyone else running into this, because you have an upgrade, you don’t have to post in the public forums. Please get in touch with us here for the fastest support:

Thank you for doing this. It was very frustrating as I couldn’t even read my own site. Now back to normal. Hope you can figure out the glitches so no one else gets stuck too.
