    hi, I wanted to sign up (in the UK) but the only option is to pay the entire year up front – that’s too much. Can’t I pay monthly>
    Also – I wanted to search for a certain template – sydney – but you don’t seem to allow that. do i have to build parts of the site first, and then I get to select a template?

    Upgrades are charged annually in advance. There are no monthly payment plans at WordPress.com
    The Sydney theme isn’t available here. It’s designed for sites hosted elsewhere using the WordPress.org software. That theme could be used here if you upgrade to the Business plan.
