  Hi there!

  I just have a question about the annual payment for the Business plan. Lets say we only paid for one year, after that, what would happen to our domain or website? thank you!

  Hi @renee311, the domain itself would expire and go into redemption:
  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/

  The site would lose its Business Plan features. If your content and functionality relies on outside code, that can be lost when your site reverts to free status, so you’d want to keep it upgraded properly.

  If you only plan on using the site for a year, I’d recommend downgrading more gracefully than just not paying, that way you can find ways to preserve your content and get a look you’d like.

  And, if you’ll only be keeping the domain for one year, the site will revert to a free WordPress.com address. I’d recommend redirecting to the free address for a few months before the domain expires, so any clicks to the domain get redirected to the free address. That way so search engines will have a chance to update your links before the domain stops working.
