Annual report shows different number of views then site stats

  I’ve got the annual report of 2012. It says my blog had 27.000 views in 2012. But the site stats of my blog says 35.783. That’s a big difference. I don’t think the difference is the unique visitors because the annual report of 2011 didn’t have that kind of difference.
  So what is it?? Does anybody know??
  Also my 5 most active commenters doesn’t fit up with site stats….
